Testimonials & Awards

“The course may well be in the best condition I’ve seen in 10+ years at this time of the year. Congrats to Brian and his team! Keep it going!”

– Ted Bilton & Liz Webber, December 2021

“Last week, I golfed with a group of guys who have been members for 16 years. Their unanimous comment was that this year was the best overseed they have seen. Congrats! Our house views the golf course, so I shared with them that you were on the course 7 days a week and put in an enormous number of hours every day.

Thanks very much, we are enjoying the efforts of your hard work!

P.S. I often hear the same comments on the driving range and other groups I golf with.”

“I wanted to pass along my compliments and thank you for the work you and your team are doing on the course.

I have been a member for 7 years and I can tell you that this past summer and into this winter the course is the best I have ever seen.

Our greens are absolutely perfect and the changes you guys made with some of the over-seed areas are perfect.

I play a lot of golf with Brian Urlacher who often brings out guys from the PGA tour and Korn ferry tour, and they are always in awe of the greens and it's not uncommon to hear them say these are the best greens they have played on.

On Tuesday of this week, I played in his group alongside Kevin Streelman who is a PGA tour player and also a member at Whisper Rock and he even commented and complimented the greens.

Kudos to you and your crew and thank you for providing us with such a well-manicured golf course to play on.

I’m sure you don't hear it enough but we all thank you and very much appreciate you!!”

“The playing surfaces are in exceptional shape. My wife (Kim) and I have been members for 8 years and I have volunteered on the Grounds Committee for five (plus) years. I believe the greens, fairways, and tee boxes are in the best shape we have ever seen them. And, I believe Brian has a great plan (as he enters the second year in his role) to help an even better Transition from Winter Rye Grass to Bermuda, comes this May/June.”

– Joe Montana, February 8, 2020

“Just want to congratulate you and your team on the course conditions. I’ve been a golf member since 2010 and overall course conditions have never looked better; tee boxes are manicured and cut very well. Greens are as healthy as I have ever seen them! Thank you! The fairways are outstanding with playability like the middle of winter. Troublesome spots of the past are being paid attention to and most have responded very well. I appreciate the time and effort to make my golf experience top-notch. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate moving on. Thanks again and keep up the great job.”

Course visit 08/17/22

I met with Brian and Garret yesterday.  The 100-yard zone was good. Flowers around putting green and clubhouse were nice and beds weed free. Greens were in very good condition.  Little to no grain.  Brian and I talked about circle verticutting and circle mowing to get remainder of grain out along with weekly topdressing.

The tees and fairways are just about 100% covered with healthy turf.  A few small areas that they are pushing to get covered with sand, aeration and fertility.  I asked Brian to get Quote for VC 60 which would be a much better verticutter for fairways rather than the old verticut reels on fairway unit.  Also currently having to mow tees with fairway unit to get good cut so Bill is in contact with Travis Franke to try and get us new greens mowers so that we can convert current greens to tee mower.

The rough was healthy and little on long side due to breakdown of their only 4500 rough mower.  I contacted Bill Walden and we should be getting a 1200 toro rough unit there soon along with the tractor that is on the way. The details such as bunker edges, cart paths, yardage markers and drain grates were edged.  Still working on those irrigation heads.  Also, have some weeds in desert areas that need to be addressed.

Overall, in very good condition.  Best condition of the clubs we have in AZ.

For Next Visit I would like for you:

VC 60 quote

Change tractor invoice

Desert weeds
